The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 8+ years of relevant prior industry/work experience in a regulatory reporting role, focused on European Regulations such as EMIR, SFTR, MIFID II, Solvency II, LGPS, etc.
  • Exceptional time management skills to manage multiple requests simultaneously; strong organizational and technical skill
  • An understanding and experience in reporting and accounting for a wide array of security and derivative types, as well as differing product strategies
  • Strong written and verbal communication with internal/external clients, vendors, and service providers
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be proactive in nature

The person who secures this role will:

  • Be responsible for creating a team to oversee the production of European regulatory reporting
  • Initially work with groups internally and within external vendors to analyze the current reporting workstreams
  • Work with the Director of Global Accounting and Client Services to set the tactical and strategic vision and goals of the group that provide the company with a centralized, efficient, and cost-effective process to produce this reporting
  • Engage with operations, investment management, legal and compliance, client reporting and various other teams to ensure that the reporting is produced timely and accurately
  • Proactively understand and interpret regulatory reporting rules and guidance to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Develop and establish the appropriate governance framework for all non-US Regulatory reporting activities
  • Instill a culture of continuous improvement throughout with appropriate oversight and control of activities
  • Lead the automation of regulatory reporting and work closely with Engineers and Data Scientists to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timeline
  • Work with external vendors and service providers who assist in the regulatory reporting today and analyze if the current processes are the most efficient and cost-effective
