Calypso Back Office Business Analyst

THE ROLE:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Ability to facilitate business requirements sessions, including documentation and understanding of both business products & the associated Calypso functionality
• Ability to write, document, and execute test cases and experience with end-to-end System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Ability to translate business requirements into systematic Calypso requirements, then configure, execute, and document the solution, end-to-end
• Minimum of 5 years direct Calypso experience with particular focus on Calypso Cloud V161 or higher for fixed income & derivatives
• Experienced in Agile, iterative project techniques including Scrum; Proven experience with Jira
• Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of business and/or systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment
• Experienced in Waterfall methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to partner with investment personnel to elicit and advance requirements
• Experience working with Investment-focused projects
• Capable of handling broad scope projects that have medium to long-term focus
• Demonstrated ability to understand how tasks and milestones collaborate and connect across related projects
• Capable of applying knowledge to handle all but the most complex problems independently
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to combine an attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written methods
• Proficient with standard documentation tools (Visio, Excel, Word)

The person who secures this role will:

• Assist in the definition and subsequent testing of accounting events, accounting rules, account postings and accounting/tax related reports
• Contribute an understanding of a wide range of products including derivatives
• Implement the accounting aspects of the Calypso system
• Contribute a good understanding of the complete trade lifecycle
• Contribute strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Prepare, execute, and explain detailed accounting and tax related test case documentation
• Migrate Derivatives into Calypso where Calypso skills on Fixed Income and IRD will be used to assist in Accounting and Finance teams
• Participate in migration reconciliation, integrating & reconciling the GL postings
