Proven demonstration of proficiency in the following areas: Operating Systems Networking System Upgrades (COTS Applications) Web Hosting (Such as IIS, JBoss, Apache) System Hardening Troubleshooting OS and Application Related Issues Scripting Automation
Qualifications: PowerShell proficiency with creating, modifying, and analyzing scripts
Experience supporting Windows Servers 2012, 2016, 2019, including configuration, file system management, permissions, etc. (IIS Configuration and Support a plus)
Experience resolving issues that occur from Security vulnerabilities, including working across teams with other engineers
Independent worker that can multitask and work towards defined SLA’s
Experience with Microsoft Patching Processes and best practices
Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7)
The person who secures this role will:
Actively investigate and validate the latest security vulnerabilities, advisories (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, VMWare, Tenable) and incidents based on security bulletins and scan results
Plan, configure, and execute vulnerability scans using Tenable SC on both on-premises and cloud-based Infrastructure
Proactively keep leadership updated on vulnerability footprint, with relevant metrics to communicate the current state
Work as part of a team to act on current vulnerabilities and work through a back log of existing items in our environment
Perform research and make recommendations on how to remediate vulnerabilities
